Dollchateau has owned RAGDOLLS since 1990.  My name is Denise Christensen.  I am the proud owner / breeder and stay at home mom of our "4 legged kids".  Our RAGDOLLS reside with my family in our home. We believe in a small breeding program which provides a lot of attention, handling and love.  Over the years, we have selected our breeders, based on personality first.  We have been most  fortunate and honored to have the Dollchateau lineage consistently produce remarkable pets and show winners.  Our babies are born in the family room of our home.  They remain there in the "birthing box" until they decide to come out.  At that time the "babies" go to the nursery.  In the nursery the "babies" go through a rigid education program.  They learn "litter box 101", "Gourmet dining with solid food", and the "Art of using a scratching post".  At approximately 6 weeks old, they go through their "graduation exercises" and are free to roam the downstairs with supervision. As stated above, all "babies" are scratching post trained.  There is no need to engage in the barbaric act of declawing.  The "kids" are always exposed to normal day to day living in our home. " Montgomery" our 5 pound Yorkshire Terrier plays with the "kids".  They never quite figure him out, since he is also litter box trained, and scratches his paws on the scratching posts.  The only thing the "kids" realize is that they can get up on the sofa, and "Monty" can not because he is too small.  They get visits from our family, friends, guests, and clients.  Each day proves to be more fascinating as we watch their personalities and coordination forming.  Our "babies" are a gift that we own for approximately 12 weeks.  The gift is then shared, bringing the happiness and joy into the lives of our clients.
